  • JIM BERNEY

    FOUNDER, PRESIDENT & HEAD OF STUDIO

    Jim Berney is a highly acclaimed Visual Effects Supervisor with an impressive portfolio that includes blockbuster hits such as Jungle Cruise, Aquaman, and Divergent. Over the course of his career, Jim has served as Head of Studio at some of the industry's most prestigious visual effects companies, including Digital Domain and Sony Pictures Imageworks, where he received his Academy Award nomination for Best Visual Effects for his exceptional work on The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Driven by his lifelong passion for animation, Jim decided to open Storage Room Animation, where he can apply his expertise in production towards the medium he loves most.

    CO-FOUNDER

    Frank Patterson is the President and CEO of Trilith Studios in Atlanta, the second largest purpose-built studio in North America and premier shooting destination for some of the world’s largest productions, including Avengers: Endgame. Before building Trilith into what it is today, Frank served as the CEO of Pulse Evolution Corporation, the high-tech company behind Michael Jackson’s holographic performance at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards. Frank’s partnership brings a deep knowledge of cutting-edge technologies and a proven history of business leadership to Storage Room Animation.

  • AUSTIN BAUR

    ANIMATION DIRECTOR & VAD SUPERVISOR

    Austin Baur is a director and visual effects supervisor at Storage Room Animation. He began his career as a visual effects artist and colorist, working on productions such as Star Trek: Discovery and Moon and Me. At Trilith Studios, he spearheaded the formation of an animation team where he produced their first animated production, Hello Cozmo. Austin brings a story-first approach to Storage Room Animation, lending a filmmaker’s eye to animation and virtual production.
